In the name of God Amen I Ralph Whitchurch of London Merchant being in perfect mind and memory, blessed be God, upon consideration of my mortality doe this seventeenth day of June Anno Domini one thousand six hundred ninety six And in the eighth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord William the third by the grace of God King of England – make and declare this my last Will and Testament concerning all my Estate whatsoever reall and personall in manner following (that is to say) Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my brother and sister John and Elizabeth Lodington twenty pounds apeice and to their three children James Sarah and Elizabeth tenn pounds apeice for mourning Item I give to my brother Hamond and to my sister Sarah Le Strange tenn pounds apeice for mourning Item I give to my Uncle Leonard and to my Aunt Jane Whitchurch his wife twenty pounds apeice for mourning alsoe I give to my cozens Edward Joseph Samuell and George sons of my said Uncle Leonard Whitchurch tenn pounds apeice for mourning Item I give to my cousin James Whitchurch another of the sons of my said Uncle the summe of fifty pounds and alsoe tenn pounds for mourning Item I give to my cozen Joane Bayley and to my cousin Joane Rainsford tenn pounds apeice for mourning Item I give to my cozen William Whitchurch Sen twenty shillings for a ring Item I give to my cozen Thomas Baker and to his Sister Elizabeth tenn pounds a peice for mourning Item I give to my Friend Mr Richard Blunden tenn pounds for mourning Item I give and bequeath unto Jane Duckworth the summe of four hundred pounds to be paid within twelve months after my decease and alsoe tenn pounds more for mourning Item I give and bequeath unto my Godaughter Elizabeth Line the summe of four hundred pounds to be paid her if she shall live to attaine the age of one and twenty yeares or be marryed And I doe order and appoint that my Executor shall allow and pay Interest for the said four hundred pounds after the rate of six pounds p cent p Annum quarterly during the minority of the said Elizabeth Line towards her maintenance and education Item I give to Momento the Black boy five pounds All the rest and residue of my goods chattels moneys lands tenements hereditaments and Estate reall and personall whatsoever after my debts Funerall expences and Legacyes shall be discharged and paid I give devise and bequeath unto my brother James Whitchurch his Heires Executors and Administrators which said James Whitchurch my brother I doe make and ordaine full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all former and other Wills by me at any time made I doe declare these presents to be and containe my only last Will In witnesse whereof I the said Ralph Whitchurch have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Ralph Whitchurch Signed sealed published and declared by the said Ralph Whitchurch the Testator for and as his last Will and Testament on the day of the date thereof in the presence of Eliz: Coale Wm Crewe Dan Chandler Sen.
