Whitchurch, Henry 1726

In the name of God Amen I Henry Whitchurch of the City of Bristoll Butcher being of sound mind memory and understanding (God be praised for it) and considering with myself the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof Doe make and publish this my last Will and Testament for the disposal of my worldly Estate and Substance as followeth (that is to say) I give devise and bequeath unto my two Daughters Hester Whitchurch and Hannah Whitchurch All that my new erected messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell situate and being in a certain Street or Way leading from St Thomas Street to Temple Street and called the Long Row with the Parish of St Thomas in the said City of Bristoll togeather with all its appurtenances To hold to them my said two Daughters their heires and assignes forever, nevertheless my will is that the years rents and profits of the said messuage or Tenement and premises shall be applied from time to time for the maintenance and education of my said Daughter Hannah until her age of one and twenty years or day of marriage which shall first happen but not longer and to my sd Daughter Hannah I give all her mothers wearing apparel Also I doe give devise and bequeath unto them my said two Daughters All the rest and residue of my moneys goods chattles and Reall and Personall estate whatsoever and wheresoever (my just debts and Funerall expenses being first paid and discharged) To hold to them their heires Executors Administrators and Assignes forever in severalty equally between share and share alike, And of this my said Will I doe make and appoint my said Daughters Hester and Hannah Joint Executors And I doe nominate and constitute Mr. Edward Whitchurch and Mr. John Rich to be overseers of this my said Will, desiring them to see the same duly performed, To each of whom I give halfe a Guinea in gold, And hereby revoking and making void all and every other Will and wills by me att any time heretofore made, I doe publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testamet In witness whereof I the said Henry Whitchurch have hereunto put my hand and seale the fourth day of July in the Seventh year of the reign of our Sovereigne Lord King George over Great Britaine … …1721.
